Compassion meditation

This activity by the UC Berkeley’s Greater Good Science Center walks individuals through a process of developing empathy for others, including those who could be seen as “enemies.” The reflection begins with compassion for friends and moves outwards toward enemies and toward the world at large, an important skill when crossing the divide between people with widely divergent values (Practice M1).
